Will there be a laptop
available in the my meeting room?
Sorry, but no. With as many as 18 sessions being held concurrently, it's
cost prohibitive to rent that many laptops for the four day span of the
conference. We suggest that sessions participants coordinate amongst themselves
so that perhaps only one participant brings his/her laptop and the rest bring
their presentations on compatible portable media such as a CD or USB thumb
drive. If nobody is bringing a laptop, you may consider renting one from the
Sheraton by calling Robert at 808-931-8599.
Will there be a digital
projector in my meeting room?
Yes. Please visit your meeting room before your session to make sure you are
able to connect your laptop to the projector without too much delay and
configuration. There will be AV techs available to assist you, but their
response time is often five to ten minutes so plan ahead in case you need their
help.
Will there be an overhead
projector in my meeting room?
Yes. There will be an overhead projector and screen in each meeting room. There
are pens normally provide as well, but if you want to have specific colors,
please bring your own just in case.
Will there be Internet
access in each meeting room?
No. If you need Internet access (it will be at your own expense), please contact
Robert at the Sheraton at 808-931-8599.
There is open wireless AP in the hotel lobby if you simply need a place to stop
and check your e-mail.
Will there be whiteboards
and flipcharts in each meeting room?
Whiteboards and flipcharts can be made available if needed but will not be there
by default. Please call the WEAI office at 714-965-8800 so that we can have one
available for you.
I use a Mac, will that be
compatible with the digital projector?
A special adapter is required to interface with Mac. Those are available through
the AV company, but you must make arrangements beforehand to have the adapter
waiting for you in your meeting room before your session starts.
